Location and Directions

There are currently two separate uCreate Makerspace locations:

The Makerspace (George Square)

This is located on the first floor of the University of Edinburgh Main library at George Square.

The Makerspace is split across two rooms.

The Data Lab (room 1.12) contains data visualisation and capture technologies such as virtual reality headsets, 360 cameras, holographic displays and 3D scanners.

The Workshop (room 1.11) contains technologies such as electronics, 3D printers, CNC mills and other digital manufacture equipment.

Enter through front door of Main Library

Climb the central staircase to the first floor then go through the door to the left of the lifts

Walk towards the uCreate Makerspace sign to find the space

The Mini-Makerspace (King's Buildings)

This is located on the first floor of the Noreen and Kenneth Murray library at King's Buildings, in room 1.06 and can be accessed via the Nucleus Building.

Entrance to King's Buildings Nucleus Building and main stairs

Climb the central staircase to the first floor then go towards the careers service, then go through the turnstiles into the Noreen and Kenneth Murray Library

Go past uCreate Multimedia and you will find the Mini-Makerspace
